Close your eyes one final time,
And take your final breath,
I'll meet you on the other side,
Now sink into your death.
The faintest smile upon your lips,
You know your time was good,
And now you'll meet Death graciously,
As all the dying should.
A final heave your chest will give,
And then your skin grows cold,
A sigh, content, you're ready now,
To meet all friends of old.
And so you'll give yourself to Death,
You've come, you've seen, you've left,
With all that life has given you,
You'd never feel bereft.
