Night has fallen all around,
Descending black, without a sound,
Creeping in as light moves in,
Now's the time for wicked sin.
The wolves are howling loud and clear,
Children hold their teddies near,
Witches cackle, screech and scream,
And to the humans it's a dream.
Owls circle overhead,
Vampires rise alongside the dead,
Warlocks beat an ancient drum,
And pixies dance to the ancient thrum.
Blood and sex, dank on the air,
Daemons playing truth or dare,
Bats performing pirouettes,
The zombies moaning in duets.
Oh yes, it's night time, Halloween,
Where sweat's aplenty in a sheen,
Fear dampens palms and face,
It's night, and you should know your place.
