"Why was he acting like that?" Alex said, obviously confused at Bens less than friendly attitude towards him.
"well I think he was a bit annoyed at you"
"why, what have I done"
"nothing but really everything"
"what does that mean"
"when you kissed my hand, you went to far. You see, he's my boyfriend" I smiled at him weakly. His face which was so cheerful was now devastated as he just sat there and stared.
"I am so sorry" he finally said, his voice a little hoarse " I didn't mean to, I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable"
" hey don't worry I didn't feel uncomfortable, it was Ben who felt uncomfortable he didn't lime seeing another boy around me thats all it was. He is quite suspicious" I seemed to convince him that it wasn't his fault so he came and sat down again. He put his arm across the back of the settee. Soon after he had again sat down the doorbell rang, again Alex went to answer it. My parents came rushing through the door. My mother seemed slightly hysterical and my farther, well, he just looked shocked. "how are you? does it hurt?, what happened?" bluttered my mum sitting down next to me. I decided I would tell her later and instead introduced my parents to Alex. When I told my mum who he was and what he had done she seemed entirely grateful and promptly gave him a fifty pound note and kissed his cheek asking what we could do to say thank you. After more than a minute of mum offering anything and everything and Alex refusing my dad stepped in. Looking over at me Alex said he must go and stepped out the door, smiling at me as he left. My stomach, once again, turned over.
