BOOM!
Big footsteps walking on the floor above, three men, heavily armed....
and ready to kill.
So quiet, you could hear a rat piss on a napkin. It must have been thirty seconds before they split up. Searching every room, every corner, looking behind all the dressers against the wall.
Till one found a opening under a rusted old rug. A door that led to the basement, where Freedom's mother, sister and himself hid in the darkness. The entire bodies of the women were trembling in fear. Freedom had no clue what conclusion this hollow night would have.
Freedom had by his side a pistol, his fathers most prized possession. He cleaned it everyday after they came home from shooting targets in the nearby forest.
"Put up a couple more of those beer bottles slick, I'm just getting started" said Joe, Freedom's father.
In a rush Freedom runs along side a high tree trunk that had fallen to the ground.
"Get over here son, you don't want your skull to end up shattered like those bottles now do you" stated Joe.
"Pop, I want to learn how to shoot like you, your aim is so precise, like you have the perfect eye. Teach me Pop, please, then you would be able to take me hunting with you, that'd be great!" Freedom said, with excitement in his words.
About 16 at the time, his father taught his prodigy how to shoot all types of weapons.
These thoughts of those times ran fast through his mind, heart beating faster then a runaway train. They crept down the wooden squeaky steps, flashlights attached to their rifles, night vision goggles, scoping the room for any life with soul. Loaded, a cold barrel chilling on his cheek, standing behind the staircase, where they least expected a person with rage to be. He raises his steal, aiming head level, looks down the sites to the tip of the silenced barrel, he takes a deep breath, and squeezes the trigger.
