"Please?" A petite woman with brunette shoulder length hair whispered in a raspy voice.
"We'll get through this. You're not going anywhere, I promise." A man with a blonde buzz cut whispered soothingly into the brunette's ear.
"Y-you don't know that, Tom!" She grasped his hand tighter."Tom, the doctor said-"
Tom scooted closer to her on her hospital bed,"I don't care what the doctor said, you're NOT going anywhere, Jane!" He buried his face in her neck and finally let his emotions get the better of him.
Jane gently stroked his hair as he cried into the crease her shoulder and neck meet. Clear, salty tears fell as his blue eyes continuously built up with tears. When he finally was done he looked down at her and noticed her brown eyes were staring blankly up at the ceiling. He knew it was over. Her heartbeat was slowing and he thought of her last wish."I'll hold you until you're gone." And he did, until her heartbeat came to an end. His love was gone.
