Chapter 5
A Day of Fluff

Buffy tried to sneak past her parents to the forest, but to no avail, she ran into her mother, father, and her little brother and sister.

"Buffy, darling! Come watch 'Bambi' with us." Rupert spoke with a large smile.

"Yeah, Buffy! Pwease!" Dawn, her four year old sister begged.

"Pease, Bubby?" The two year old, Joshua, also begged.

"I-I would love to. But, I'm going for a run with Willow and Xander. P-plus, we've seen this movie a bazillion times!" Her voice held fake enthusiasm.

Her parents seemed to buy it though, and she was surprised. Rupert usually was able to see through anything she did, that was not one-hundred percent real."Have a nice time, baby!" Joyce shouted to Buffy as she ran to the large oak doors and pulled them open with one thorough tug.

Angelus was waiting in the small opening, where he and Buffy had met, in the forest. He took a minute to admire the small pound that was set off to the left. Just last night, where they had made love-twice. He had felt a manly pride swarming in his chest with the knowledge that he was the only one to ever be with her, and he'd be her last.

He adjusted the duffel bag strap on his shoulder And felt the tingly feeling running up and down his spine, he smiled. He actually smiled. This was the start of their new life together.

Buffy walked up to Angelus and greeted him with a kiss centered on his tender lips. Her eyes closed blissfully as a smile took over her features."Where we headed." She asked in a faint voice.

"I don't know." He grabbed her hand and led her toward the forest. They walked fifteen minutes until they came to the dirt road his red Ferrari rested.

"You know, I forgot money." She spoke, trying to get an excuse to go back home.

"I brought an abundance of money." He smirked as he opened the door for her.

Buffy turned up the blaring radio and sang along, and surprisingly, so did Angelus;

At the end of the song, they looked at each other and busted up laughing. Fluff usually wasn't Angelus' thing, but he liked it. Only when it involved his mate though.

Yes, life was how it was should be. But it would soon, all come crashing down on them.
