I'd pick you up at midday,
New suit on, flowers in hand,
Limousine at the ready,
You won't want this night to end.
You walk out, looking so beautiful,
A princess, and I her prince,
I smile and give you the bouquet,
You smile back, a peck on the check.
We arrive at the wedding,
A union of two friends,
I hold your hand as we mingle,
I'll see it through to the end.
I can't help but stare at you, your beauty,
You're gorgeous, simply astounding.
I lose my trail of thought,
What is happening?
I whisk you out onto the dance floor,
A requested tune from me, a familiar song,
I look deep into your eyes,
We were meant for this all along.
Time out to catch our breath,
You get chilly, my jacket will suffice,
Anything to keep you safe and happy,
I'll be willing to do, to sacrifice.
At the end of the night, a most glorious night,
I bid you farewell, sweet dreams,
A kiss goodnight, a thank you,
I leave the happiest of men.
All is as it seems.
