Ashes Of Happiness

We sit here in the ashes,
Of a lovely home once ours,
Filled with happy memories,
Now doused by autumn showers.

Not quite a happy ending,
But an ending all the same,
Heartbreak weighs us down,
There's no one left to blame.

No one left to turn to,
We sit here on our own,
Our tears slip to the ground,
For the world to be shown.

We wallow in our sadness,
Scrambling for the pieces,
To fit them back together,
So our sadness decreases.

Although the sky darkens,
Attempting to smother,
We realise at long last,
We always have each other.

My life was like a book left out in the rain, until some kind soul took it in and dried it off. My days spent with him were the best times in my bleak life. Before I met him I was so alone.

Sometimes

I know it's hard, But we must try. It breaks my heart To see you cry. I know it's cruel, Just plain unfair. Like the world's gone wrong, Like no one cares. I know it hurts, A knife to the heart.

Grief. It's Over.

Maybe I will cry for days, Or maybe I'll move on. Maybe I will weep and wail, Or act like you're not gone. Maybe I shall think of it, Or maybe I'll forget.

So sad, reminds me when you see people on the news in the aftermath of some disaster, and they always look so broken.
