Anger flashes red,
And charges violently by.
Frustration buzzes round,
Yelling 'Why, oh why, oh why!'
Confusion grips me tightly,
And by my shoulders shakes me.
Hurt tears me from my position,
Makes me alone, and dizzy.
Then you came and,
Pushed the roundabout faster.
Mixed up my emotions,
'Til it hurt and I cursed 'Blast her!'
But then an unexpected laugh,
Escaped from my emotional mess.
Hope began to surface,
An ounce of happiness too, I confess!
You helped me off,
my tragic roundabout ride.
It felt strange at first,
But you forced me to abide.
You gradually moved me onto
the great, soaring swings,
Liberating, ecstasy, I was free,
You gave me my wings.
