Remember to read Kitty's side of the story, @CuriousCat !!!
Where the hell did she go?! How did she manage to just slip away without my noticing? She's not on school grounds anymore. I've checked everywhere. I better go back. Maybe she went to the toilet. I turn the corner.
"Kitty!" I yell.
She's in the exact same position that I found her in. The guy I still there. He's awake. He's moaning. Serves him right for...
"Jack..?" Kitty whispers.
Her voice is so frail. I drop to my knees and hold her. She's cold.
"Kitty, you disappeared... I was... I didn't know..."
"I'm okay," she whispers.
It sounds like she's in pain.
"I was worried."
If only I hadn't gone for a drink. I'm so stupid. Only thinking about her kissing me! I've ruined her night.
"I'm fine, so don't worry okay?" she replies.
She's smiling. I look into her eyes. The weight of her hands on my shoulders. The rising and falling as she breaths. It's so quiet. It just me and her. Kitty and I. She's leaning in. Is she..? I close my eyes. I hold her tighter. She grips my shoulders. Maybe she does...
"HOLY..! What happened here?!!!"
Kitty squeaks and lets go. I take her arm and help her up. It seem like everyone in the dance hall has come out to look at us. No, they're looking at the guy that hurt Kitty. He shouldn't have touched her. While everyone's distracted I help Kitty into the hall. She's got blood all over her.
"Here, use this."
I hand her my handkerchief.
"Let's go home."
"There's only one song left anyways," says Kitty.
I walk her home. Outside her gate, we're standing there. She's so pretty. Beautiful even. The flowers!
"Oh I was meant to give you these."
She smiles.
"Thanks Jack, for everything."
"It's nothing," I reply kind of awkwardly.
"I wanna give you something to say thanks, although its not much."
"Kitty, your my best friend, there is no n..."
She kisses me on the cheek. She kisses me on the...
"Bye!" she shouts from halfway up the drive.
I'm too stunned to talk. I'll talk to her tomorrow though. But for now, I'm just too happy! I run home. Maybe I should call Kitty! I run upstairs to get my phone. Where did I leave it..? Oh yes, in my desk drawer. I pull out the drawer. There's an envelope on my phone. It's small and brown. No bigger than a business card. I open it. Inside there is a small rectangle of paper. There are four words on it.
"Factory, go there, tonight."
"Who the hell are you?!" I shout.
There's another person here! A girl. What the hell is another person doing here?!
"I was gunna ask you the same question! Let me go!" the person hissed. "I know what's going on here."
"So do I and I'm stopping it!"
The girl looks like a cat. A cat with one hell of a kick. If I hadn't caught it with my mind and held her there, I would have one hell if a bruise on my stomach. I have no time for this. I let go and dash off to where I heard people talking. The girl appears infront of me, the beside me, then, again, infront if me. How the..? I stop. Drug lords. Three of them. Two armed. I knock these two out with a mind blast. I'm gunna have such a headache in the morning... The cat girl disappears, then, re-appears over the third man. She knocks him down in a second then jumps off him. I grab the first two and pull the other over to me. Amateur. I leap up onto the nearest building giving myself a little boost.
"Get back!" I hear.
Who was that?
