Grandad Blue

You had eyes of blue, brown and green too,
You fell in love at 15,
To the girl of your dreams,
Beautifully married at 18,
No more screwing around it seems,
She glided down the isle,
Like a butterfly drifting a mile,
You turned and stared,
Your eyes glued to her at that moment right there,
She gave you four gorgeous children,
And they gave you grandchildren to love,
You never hurt or upset anyone,
You cherished us one by one.
The you passed.
And hearts beated fast,
Nuemonia was the cause,
So you had to go through the black and white doors,
Heaven grabbed you and took you away,
At first I thought I couldn't live another day,
Then I found,
Your right here,
Right now.
You never hurt a soul,
I love you for that you'll always be my idol,
You wrote millions of poems,
And loved your music,
And we looked after you when you were sick,
At your funeral was Elbow one day like this,
I listen to that song on repeat,
It's bliss.
I love you.
I miss you.
But I know you know that,
I just want to hug you and never let go at that<3

I woke up this morning and thought of you like I’ve done so many days I wondered where you’d be tomorrow and where you’d be today.

Grandad

I wish you were here. Like you wouldn't believe. My heads in my hands. I'm starting to grieve. Why did you go. And leave me this way. I wish it was me. Then you could stay. I'm lost and alone.
