Angels & Butterflies

For Queen Ester Tribble (My Great-Grams, 104 yrs, wisest person I knew) R.I.P

---------------------------------
An angel, a butterfly
Things that signify who you are
Soft and gentle
You comfort me from afar

In heaven you reside
As peaceful as ever
Some day in future
I hope we reunite together

I was not able
To bid you farewell
But I loved you just the same
And for you my heart swells

It swells with pride and joy
To know you're in a better place
To know one day
Again I will see your face

I'll see your smile
And hear your voice
It will be fate
Rather than a choice

For I long to see...
Your face again
And embrace you...
In my arms my friend

A butterfly...
Followed me today
An angel...
Led me on my way

I knew in my heart
It was someone I knew
I did not realize
It was you

But now...
I know that it was
And I won't cry
I'll smile because...

That's what...
You would want from me
Instead of sadness
And negativity

And so...
I'll keep your memory
Sacredly in my heart
For the years to be

#Poet #Musician #SongWriter I write from the heart. My thoughts do not only consume my mind, but my entire being. So why not take the time to write down what cannot be spoken for fear of causing quarrels and agonizing pain. I would much rather let the words flow from my heart without a second thought as to what someone may think.

I woke up this morning and thought of you like I’ve done so many days I wondered where you’d be tomorrow and where you’d be today.

A Tribute To Gramp

My gramp was a dear old soul. A serious man. Intellectually blessed. He was my mentor. My wise old man. Who always knew what to do. A true father figure. He loved me as his own. He cooked for me.

Always Here With Me

You left us today but your still here with me They said you went in your sleep, peacefully. Ninety four years of loving, laughing and crying. I wish I could have seen your smile just one more time.

Rest In Peace Nanna

There is a new star in the sky tonight Now that you have gone from mortal sight. You have joined the angels in the heavens above Free to soar like a butterfly as peaceful as a dove.

Really lovely. I lost my Grandmother this past Mother's Day so this really touched home for me. Nice tribute😘
