Love You So: PART ELEVEN

I went up to my makeshift bed, and changed into another outfit (which I'd stolen from my room when I knew Mollie had left). It was a titanium white dress, with a tan belt that made my figure look even more like an hourglass. I slipped on some Grecian sandals, because it was too hot for any other shoes, and because heels weren't appropriate footwear for the trek to my bench, as it was through grass, foliage and a small woodland area.
I fixed my hair into an elegant bun at the side of my head, as it had fallen out as the day went by. It must have been the heat, and the fact that I'd spent the rest of the day lying on a sun lounger. I went towards the girl's small mirror, which was swamped with silly pictures of them with large pink glasses, inflatable flamingos and the like. I looked at my complexion and contemplated applying any makeup. My skin had changed colour dramatically over the past 6 hours, so I decided to just apply another layer of mascara over my original from this morning.
Behind me, I heard the door open, and Isabelle stepped in.
"Oh sorry," she said, backing out of the door "I didn't mean to disturb you!"
"It's fine sweetie, come in!" I said, turning to look at her.
"Oh wow, you look amazing! Which lucky boy are you meeting now?" she said, with a wink as she walked towards her bed.
"I wish I was!" I laughed "I'm meeting Mollie for a chat. Well, at least, I think it's Mollie..."
"Good luck if it is her! If not, then it's bound to be a boy. With a tan like that, and dressed as you are bound to get like a million guys!"
I love Isabelle's optimism. I'd only known her properly for a day, but she'd lightened up my life quite significantly. I thanked her, and left, making my way through the labyrinth of corridors, doors and rooms, until I made it into the garden.
I found my way to my bench, which was far enough away from the school that only a few knew about it, but close enough that I could go there whenever I wanted. I sat down, and looked around, at the old hut nearby and the trees that created a canopy above my head, allowing beams of sunlight like lasers to cascade through, and rest upon the ground.
I heard a twig crack, and the debris on the ground rustle, due to it all drying out in the heat.
I turned to the hut, as that was where the sound was coming from. I braced myself for Mollie to step out, and I already had a fake smile plastered to my face.
But when the figure stepped out from the shadows, the fake smile was wiped off my face, and replaced by genuine joy.
