"Thought of a name yet?" Nate asked Tiffany, rubbing her arm and pulling her harder against the side of his body.
"I have ideas. None of them suit her though. She's going to be nameless her whole life" Tiffany moaned sarcastically, giggling into Nate's chest as she imagined what it would be like to really have no name.
"I haven't heard you laugh like that for a long time" he said, looking down at her and breaking into a grin.
"I'm happy" she said, shuffling back into his side.
"Me too" he replied, closing his eyes and letting his head drift into the pillow, which slowly deflated with the impact of his head with every passing second.
He held her there for a few more minutes, not caring about the vital revision time that he really needed for his next exam. Instead, thoughts of Tiffany and of the baby who sped through his mind at 100mph, and as he looked down it was like pinching himself, reminding him that he was blessed with this gorgeous girl to have all to himself.
"I love you" he said, defining each syllable, adding small gaps in between the words, to provide emphasis and to make sure she really heard those golden words. "So, so much"
"I love you too" she whispered, rubbing her palm on his chest to create little sparks of friction that warmed the skin just above his heart. Little did she realise that his heart was completely the same. It possessed that warm and fuzzy feeling that he always felt when him and Tiffany exchanged those three words, despite the fact that they were barely a drop in the ocean of how they really felt for one another.
"Guys, where's the---" Mollie asked as she barged into the bedroom, mouth open in shock "Oh god, I'm.. Sorry!" she said, bowing her head so she was facing the floor and shuffling out of the room with legs bent awkwardly.
"Sorry" Tiffany muttered to Nate as she slipped on a dressing gown and creeped out of the door.
"Did you just?" Mollie hissed as soon as she saw Tiffany, but all Tiffany did was put a silencing finger against her fixed smile. "Paper, that's what I needed but I'm so happy for you!" she shrieked, waking the baby and causing Nate to stumble out of the bedroom in a haze, half clothed.
"Turn around Mr" Tiffany said, pushing the middle of his chest with one finger "I'll sort out the baby"
"Sorry, that was my fault" Mollie replied, her eyes fixed on Nate's intensely muscled chest.
"Second drawer down in the desk" Tiffany said to Mollie, glaring at her.
"Sure sure" she said, bowing down the stairs again.
"Come here my gorgeous girl" Tiffany said as soon as she'd descended the stairs and found her baby in the study where Mollie was revising. "Oh, don't cry!" she said sweetly, smiling and cradling her baby against her chest.
"Let's go and see Daddy" she smiled and laughed, loving the sound of those words more and more with each passing day.
"Tiffany" Nate said gravely as Tiffany walked into the room with the child.
"She wants to see you" Tiffany cooed, smiling at her husband and rocking the baby as she walked over to Nate to hand over the child.
"It broke" Nate said, holding something else in Tiffany's direction that almost caused her to drop the baby.
