If you don't use the talents,
You possess,
How will anybody see,
That you're the best?
If you don't get on that stage,
And preform like a superstar,
How will you enjoy life,
Or go far?
Run the distance,
Go that extra mile,
Do everything you are gifted in,
With a smile.
Write what you feel,
Compose like you've never before,
Don't hesitate,
Just walk through that door.
If you don't take chances,
Or never try to change your fate,
How will you get better,
And become great?
For that stage would be very silent,
And that page still white,
If no one showed their talent,
And that voice stayed quiet.
So try your best,
Shine like a star,
Never give up,
And you'll go far.
This poem is inspired by my favorite quote that I posted about a month ago:
Use the talents you possess, for the woods would be very silent if no birds sang, but the best. ~Henry van Dyke
