Conflicting Dependancies

One hole in my ear lobe.
Another in my heart.
A whole set of problems.
Tearing me apart.

One a modification of vanity. The other a natural curse from a far.
Theres a hole in my ear.
And a hole in my heart.

Stretched my lobe like lasting love, forever growing, expanding so.
Born with the hole in my heart, never closed, cursed from the start.

A visit to the doctors, every single year. A Weekly visit to the tattoo shop, to cater for my ear.

Oh how whole one glee can make us. Oh how torn one curse can be.
Born with a hole in my life force, created another just for me.

Dependant on one, to keep me confident so.
Reliant on the other, to allow life to flow.

Without either i'm not whole, but with both i learn to grow.

One hole a pleasure, one hole a woe.
