The Darkworld Chronicles: Chapter 6: The Village Girl And Her Newest Acquisition:

The hands have faded and onyx and his team are running towards me, I lift my head wearily as I watch the last of the plants slowly shrivel up

Then my vision goes blank..

(Hours later)

I wake with a spluttering cough, my eyes too heavy to open and my legs and arms are sore.

Outside I can hear muffled talking, occasionally breaking into arguments, I slowly open my eyes

I manage to push my legs up and crawl muffled talking, occasionally breaking into arguments, I slowly open my eyes to look around.

Im in a canvas tent, lit by 3 lamps that glow a dark red colour, the ground beneath me is covered by a dry material, coloured in a deep burgundy red.

I try to lift my arms and legs, slowly at first, in the hope of being able to get up and listen to the conversation

I manage to push my legs up and crawl towards a gap in the canvas, edging slowly towards it, the sound of talking gets louder and clearer every shuffle

"we can't just lug some village girl around"

"why did you let Her get there first"

"even with the bracelet she's no mythical warrior, just a girl"

I shuffle
And shuffle
And shuffle
And shuffle again
Dragging my legs forward, regardless of their protests.

Then I hear a voice

"Are you alright dear?"

@Latrodectus

Hi, I'm Latrodectus, but you can call me Lat. I'm 14 and I love to write. I write at least 1 or 2 times a week and write everything from acrostics to opinion posts (and everything in-between) I'm also writing my first ever book/full story "The Darkworld Chronicles." I write to help find myself and who I really am and to help me deal with life's problems and stresses. I like drawing, acting, singing and gymnastics but don't like algebra, sport or swimming. My interests vary wildly (as do my works) and I feel it gives me some variety. Thanks for reading this, have fun in my world of writing :) ~Lat
