Forever Young

Chapter 3
NO NAME:

I felt the blood rush to my pale face to prove embarrassment,
"Thanks.." I whispered, hiding my head in my hair.
There was a heavy sigh coming from him now, "Its okay, I'll see you in class," he finally said.
"But we've already had our class together..." I added, moving away from the salad bar, closer to him.
He beckoned back, only in the slightest though, but then came back forward.
"Your taking art, right?" he questioned me.
I nodded. 'How did he know that?' I thought to myself.
"I'll see you in class then," his soothing voice spoke again. All I did was stand there, with my mind mixed up. I swear I had seen his face before...Who was I kidding? I must just be seeing things, I mean I was talking to a great looking guy, and he was talking to me as well, I have two classes with him and have already had one, but still...I don't know his name! And how did he know I was trying Art out? Argh! I hate being confused! I shook my head, grabbed some bottled water then filled my salad bowl, before returning to my new friends.
"Hiya!" Lola greeted me, looking over my lunch "Health freak, huh?"
I gently shrugged and sat down, involving myself in the boring conversation about cars.
"Hey, Cleo! Do you want to come shopping with us later?" Vicky asked me kindly.
"Sure, straight after school?" I said, enthusiastically.
"No, we want to get ready and stuff, well pop round before dinner, so we can eat while we're out!" my friend finished.
Lola smiled excitedly, I couldn't just let her look weird, so I grinned back.

It was time for Art, when I got through the door, I was pretty sure my heart skipped a few beats. I gave a deep breath and headed over to the empty seat, next to the guy I don't know the name of...'I should give him a nickname' I thought again 'No Name' I decided in my head.
"Hello Cleo," No Name muttered, not even looking at me.
"Hello...um..wha-what's your name again?" I stuttered.
"I never told you it," he repeated in the same, flat tone.
"Exactly," I scoffed, frowning at him.
"I don't want to tell you it." his flat, but intriguing voice spoke.
"What? Why not?" I said, my frown deepening.
"Because, I don't. I might tell you later, if I want." he added, still not looking at me.
I sighed "Fine...No Name!"
He gave out a small chuckle.
My teacher instructed us to sketch anything or anyone in the room. I began to become nervous, I'm not bad at drawing, it's just the picking what to draw that I really hate. I'm always the last to choose and I don't want to be the only one who didn't finish, so I end up rushing it, making it look awful. In about two minutes, everyone had their graphite running away on their pages, I was still thinking.
"What are you drawing?" I whispered to No Name.
"You," he replied casually.
"What?! Let's see!" I said, still in a whisper.
"No, afterwards...maybe."
I ended up doing a simple sketch of the fruit bowl that was at the front of the room.
I had finished with five minutes to spare, I took this as an opportunity.
"You finished yet?" I asked my parter.
"Yes, are you?"
"Yes, can I see yours if I show you mine?" I tried.
"I suppose it won't kill me, I'm sorry in advance, I found it hard to draw you. You wouldn't stop moving." he added
I nodded and swapped our drawings, I gasped in amazement.
"Wow! Dude! This is amazing!" I murmured, trying not to be heard by the the teacher.
"So is yours!" he complemented
"No, it's not. Yours makes mine look like poo!" I grumbled, swapping the pictures back.
"No, I really like yours, it's simple..yet effective."
I could feel myself blushing again, why does he have to be so nice.
"Thanks again...."
"You need to stop saying 'thanks'!" he laughed, as we walked out the door together...
