I propose a toast to you:

May you be all,
That I never was,
Ever wanting to be.

May you have all,
The ideas, the dreams,
That I could never see

May you know all,
That I knew not,
Oh wise new friend,
Of mine.

May you have virtue, courage,
That which I didn't,
And respect me, and others,
In time.

May you live long, longer than I,
May you live happy, happier than I,
May you be, may you be better than me.

New blossom, fresh on the tree;
