Golden rays, breaking through,
A canopy of trees, hiding me and you
We watch as the sun rises higher in the sky,
We watch the clouds pass idly by
I feel the warmth of the sun's gaze,
Trickling, like water, into my daze
I woke up to find my summer gone,
And I sat there, knowing it'd be back before long.
