Remembering Frankie

Chapter 7

"Frankie" I heard a familiar voice say as a hand tightened its grip around mine. I slowly opened one eyes then another then shutting them quickly and repeating this action A few times till being able to hold them open. Mums face stared down at me a tear dripped of her red and swollen.
"Oh Frankie, love your ok where here, where all here" she turned Chris was standing behind holding onto Kate.
"Mum, Kate, Chris" I managed, feeling a tear slid down the left side of my face.
"yes yes, where all here" she said smiling.
"where, what, who, why? Mum why?" I sobbed. "shhhh" my mum stroked my forehead like she did when I was young.
"Frank", Chris leaned over the bed,"Remember the super market?" I nodded,"Remember you when to the medicine line?" I nodded again trying to keep up, "Well you, had an attack for an unknown reason, and you fell," my mother looked down tears dripped onto the white bed.
"Pills" I squeaked, "Chris I didn't take them." I looked at him, he had already walked to the phone and dialed the nurse.
"Lucky that young man found her or you wouldn't be here" she said to Kate as she nodded in agreement.
"Young man?" I asked confused,"what young man?"
"oh we'll a young man was in the isle and you and when you fell he called 000 for you and your brother" mum replied.
"did you get his name?" I asked trying to sit up.
"well I don't think so love, you just lye back down now honey, mummies here" she said trying to sound like she used to when I would have fallen on the road an grazed my knee.
