Reality stings like the rose of a thorn,
As harsh as a rider's whip,
As cold and as cruel as the vast Winter's wrath,
And as chillingly rash as a hit.
Normality bites like the teeth of a wolf,
With toxins as strong as a snake,
It finds its way into the roots of your dreams,
And burns them with cruelty and hate.
A poisonous couple, a match made in Hell,
A power that burns where all of your dreams dwell,
A tragedy greater than Shakespeare could write,
A malady constantly fighting the fight.
Reality blows and normality sucks,
Both constantly draining your mind,
Just choose to ignore them,
And leave them behind,
And search for what powers life's left you to find.
