My Darling Angel

Wind came up fast, pushing dew off the long dune grass, onto my face.
I looked away from my daydream only to find you standing in front of me;
Proof that angels really do exist.

Unlike any other time in my life, someone was there for me.
You were there for me.
Life before was tumultuous,
Droning on relentlessly.
Now it has settled into a warm sleeping bag next to a fire.

I try to imagine what life would be like without my angel.
I just as soon forget about those days of woe.
Because of your unconditional love,
Because of your never ending support.
I am truly happy.
