I'm sitting in my bedroom, asking questions,
"Hey, have you seen me lately, because you really don't know.
Tell me, tell me one thing that you haven't heard from someone else about me."
And we would sit in that air of tension, wondering where we went wrong.
And your answer was the one thing I told you, but never thought you knew.
"You love to watch me sleep, see me breath in, and breath out. The peak of my beauty, at that point between life and and my dreams, the happiest moment, a total euphoria of my own making. You loved to watch me sleep."
So now we stand in this rain and I ask questions,
"Have you seen me lately, because I really don't know.
Tell me, tell me one thing I haven't been told about me, something they haven't somehow found out."
And we stood in the rain, all the sorrows of a man who had lost it all washing away,
"You love to watch me sleep, see me breath in, and breath out. The peak of my beauty, at that point between life and and my dreams, the happiest moment, a total euphoria of my own making.
-You loved to watch me sleep.
