Life and Death

If life was easy, what would be the point? The whole reason we live is to overcome our daily struggles and become better people because of that. I have it tough sometimes, we all do, but I muddle through. I just pity people who believe that their life is rubbish. Take a look at the bigger picture, not just the detail. Chances are, when you weigh everything up, you have a much better life than you realise. And when I see people like that, and I ask how they are, and they recount every way in which their life is terrible, I will tell them all this. And I don't mean to be commanding, but I suggest you do too. Too many people in this world feel the need to take their own lives and destroy themselves, when really all they could use is a friend; someone to listen. And as much as possible, I will be that someone. Because although I trust in human judgement, I've never understood how someone can find death a better option than life, and I want to find out how. And I want to remember those for whom it's too late. My thoughts go out to them. Wherever they may be.
