Little shells cling to the shore,
Like the ones around her neck.
Red sun, setting, upon the blue waves.
Stragglers washed up from the boat wreak
Long red shiny hair,
Rainbow scales to her waist.
Kissing his soul. Breathing life into this prince.
Her salty lips they do taste.
His little eyes flicker,
Bright with the sense of life.
She flees back into the water,
Her heart and head in strife.
She returned to the dark waters.
Inky black with those cursed souls.
There she struck a deal,
One she can't control.
She crawled ahead to shore,
Not knowing how to use these legs.
There she found her prince,
But was unable to beg.
The waters had her voice,
A siren she was no more!
But he cared little for it,
Assuming it was sore.
In love the two fell...
But the curse turned darker still.
With the voice tricks played,
And the twisting of wills.
A great battle commences,
and a greater agreement made.
The dark, powerful, oceans stopped,
Stabbed they then decayed.
All is then restored,
Back to its former glory.
But not that of her tail,
Love, marriage ends the story.
