Marina

Slipping into the crystal depths
Of my pearly oyster shell
I am transformed into something else
A graceful ocean belle.
I can feel my tousled hair,
Landloving fibres of hay,
Magicked into liquid gold
As clouds of it mingle with spray.
I feel the silky, caramel strands
Stroke my porcelain skin,
Caress me, as the sunrays dance round my face
And tickle me under the chin.
They swirl with the Titan currents
Conjured by my hands,
Neptune's very own daughter,
The sea world in my palms.
My long tresses living another life
In the heartwarming oceans azure
As I comb them with my long, fine fingers,
Handsome sailors to lure.
They dance around me, a graceful quadrille
Of honey, gilded seaweed and citrine
Precious, rare, virginal,
Cocooning me, safe, serene,
Keeping me until the time should come
For me to leave my watery home
And grow some legs, step onto land
With mere mortals to roam.

Oceanids Punishment

I'm a oceanid of the waves, Cast on to the green land. How I long to be in those whirlpools, To feel the seaweed flow through my hands. But I betrayed its master, And basked in the hot sun.

(I've edited this to make it slightly better, still very similar) There once was a tiny butterfly, whose wings were fragile and weak. She swiftly glided through the sky despite being so meek.
