The Butterfly And The Caterpillar

There once was a tiny butterfly whose wings were fragile and weak,
She swiftly glided through the sky despite being so meek.

She flew and flew with all her might until she'd had enough,
She found a branch to rest upon where she sat and huffed and puffed.

A friendly caterpillar stayed with her until she caught her breath,
"hello, Madam Butterfly..."
He scared her half to death!

"oh hello," replied the butterfly not meaning to sound rude,
She turned around to face him when she noticed all his food!

"please spare some of your meal, I haven't eaten in days!"
Of course the caterpillar didn't mind and gave it all away!

Madam Butterfly did like this caterpillar and wanted to be friends,
He was so content and a hand he was happy to lend.

The gentle caterpillar loved the butterfly very much,
He tried to tell her everyday but didn't have the guts.

All was going smoothly till that tragic Sunday morn,
When Madam Butterfly looked around but the caterpillar was no more.

She wept and wept for many days, she never did confess, that she loved the caterpillar in return: "a search!" she did suggest.

The next day in the early morn the butterfly did go, but after a long hard look the tears began to flow.

When suddenly a rustling noise diverted her attention,
And out of a dirty cocoon emerged a butterfly with new dimensions!

Madam Butterfly uncertain soon did recognise his face:
"caterpillar? caterpillar!" and she flew over and embraced!

"Madam Butterfly!" said caterpillar overjoyed with laughter.
And after all that happened to the two, they lived happily ever after.
