The Butterfly And The Caterpillar

(I've edited this to make it slightly better, still very similar)

There once was a tiny butterfly, whose wings were fragile and weak.
She swiftly glided through the sky despite being so meek.

She flew and flew for many days; her wings had had enough.
She found a branch to rest upon where she sat and huffed and puffed.

A caterpillar sat beside her whilst she slowly caught her breath,
"what a pretty butterfly!" he scared her half to death!

"oh hello," replied the butterfly, she tried not to sound rude.
As she turned around to face him she admired all his food!

"oh lovely caterpillar, I haven't eaten in days,"
The caterpillar had a kind heart and gave all his meal away.

He looked after the beautiful butterfly, a hand he was happy to lend.
Days passed until the butterfly asked if they could be best friends.

Since then they stayed together, their bond grew very strong.
The butterfly's wings had grown in size, the caterpillar now very long.

All was going swimmingly until one frightening day;
As the butterfly looked for her companion it appeared he'd crawled away!

She wept and wept a flood of tears, she never had confessed,
That she was in love with the caterpillar; with him she felt so blessed.

She searched hard for the caterpillar, but he was nowhere to be found.
As she hid herself away something rustled on the ground.

The funny noise diverted the upset butterfly's attention,
And out of a dirty cocoon emerged a butterfly with new dimensions!

The butterfly uncertain soon did recognise his face:
"Caterpillar? Caterpillar!" and she flew over and embraced.

"Oh Butterfly, I've missed you!" he said overjoyed with laughter.
And since that day the two have lived on happily ever after.
