Blink

Caught on the wing of a butterfly.
I can't help but watch the world go by.
And as I look up at the dreamy sky,
I think of how lucky, and wonder why.
What is my purpose on earth, here?
To merely watch for a blink and then disappear?
Surely my energy, is just a mere tear,
Upon the worlds capabilities and its sheer.
But I've been given life and I'll spend it well.
At least that's what I hope but without purpose i cannot tell.
And one day when I'm old and become just a shell...
I'll hope my blink was worth while, and to the ground I will dwell.

How do we know that things will ever end. How do we know that when we think things will end... And that things will ever cease to be. That once we think it is all over, it won't finish.
