I've lost my scrap of hope,
And it can't be replaced.
Not bought, traded or borrowed,
They'd all just go to waste.
For this scrap I had was special,
And could be used by only me.
Some people willingly destroy theirs,
Accepting it'll never be.
But I still hung on to mine,
Even just that bit.
Hoping I'd find my true love,
Not willing to dig it a pit.
Now it all just seems irrelevant.
My little scrap is lost.
Carelessness with my heart
Clearly had a cost.
