Low primal growl,
I respond to that howl.
Paws hit the floor,
Ears twitching more.
Pack found, I prowl.
Hunting again, night owl.
Prey taken, eaten raw.
First by alpha, that's law.
Play fighting begins,
Heavier party wins.
Races back to the river,
Moon left, just a sliver.
Ambushed, with pins.
Sharp claws from the twins.
Playful nips from the giver.
Races again don't dither.
Clearing just ahead,
Don't want to be left for dead.
Forest dark and cold,
In a pile we all fold.
Curled up for bed,
By an alpha we are led.
We do as we are told,
Too sleep now, all rolled.
