I sit above the forest,
My ears are pricked, alert,
I'm watching for the smallest change,
A movement in the dirt.
My coat of fur is shining,
It's silver in the moon,
Watch the stars watch over,
The dawn will come, too soon.
Below my pack is sleeping,
Relying on my sight,
My ears and my bravery,
To protect them all this night.
As Alpha, it's my duty,
As male it's my role,
As wolf and member of this pack,
It is what makes me whole.
