Chapter 31

I walked into Mrs. Kemp's room. I sat at my table. At my table is Allyson, Fiona, Jen, Ellie, and Sofi. Mrs. Kemp wasn't there that day, so we had Mrs. Postey as a sub.
"You guys are going to read this packet and answer the questions at the back." Mrs. Postey said holding up a small packet with the words On the Road in Iran. Then she looked over at me, "Will you hand these out?"
"Sure." I said and picked up the packets and started handing them out. When I get to Pikachu's table I accidentally dropped all the packets. Pikachu reached down to help me pick them.
"I got it." I said and bent down to pick them up.
"No you don't." Pikachu picked up a few packets. I grabbed the rest and she handed me the ones she picked up. I put four on her table because there are four people are at Pikachu's table. Pikachu grabbed the packets and gave one to Rainy and one to Arnold.
"Hey, Jake! You gave us an extra packet." Pikachu waved the packet in the air.
"Oh, I thought four people sat at this table." I grabbed the extra packet from Pikachu.
"There usually are four, but Jeremy isn't here." Rainy said. I passed out the rest of the packets, then I carried my stool over to the table behind Pikachu's table.

When I finished my packet I picked up my stool and started to carry it back to my usual seat. Then I heard a loud smack! I turned to see Gianna with her hand on her head.
"Ow!" Gianna said.
"I'm so sorry!" I said and dropped the stool.
"It's ok." Gianna said with her hand still on her head.
"Jake!" Mandy said trying not to laugh.
"What?! I have issues." I said standing there, not knowing what to do.
"What happened?" Arnold walked into the room, he had missed me hitting Gianna.
"Jake hit Gianna with a stool." Rainy said and glared at me. Then Arnold burst out laughing.
"How is that funny?!" Mandy growled at Arnold.
"It's funny on how careless Jake is, to not carry the stool over his head." Arnold laughed, "Well he did say he has issues."
"He says that all the time." Pikachu pointed out.
"I'm standing right here." I said as the bell rang, I quickly grabbed my stuff and raced out of the room.
