Chapter 9
In Advisory, I sat at a table with Danny and started to doodle on a piece of paper. Mr. Coal was telling a boring story of some guy who discovered the north pole or something.
"Is Mrs. Shelly coming Thursday?" Mandy asked in her usual annoyingly happy voice. Mrs. Shelly came one a week to talk about our "strengths", really all she did was try to make Jo sit and be quiet, Jo is never quiet. I fixed an arm on a tiny person I was drawing and missed Mr. Coal's answer.
"Wait Mrs. Shelly's coming?!" I looked up.
"Your on edge today Jaky-roo." Mr. Coal laughed, everyone else started to as well.
"Jaky-roo?" Mandy laughed so hard.
"Is she coming?" I repeated the question.
"No she's coming in two week." Mr. Coal told me, still laughing. I looked back down at my paper, my face was feeling hot.
