(a continuation of my previous poem)
I wake up in the morning,
Paint on my defence,
Layer upon layer
Of a beautiful pretence.
Because everyone knows it's not enough,
To leave your face
In the buff.
Eyelashes just just aren't long enough,
Lips aren't quite shiny enough.
Dark circles must go,
Red cheeks ad uneven skin,
That's a big no no!
Is it really a cover up?
To conform with society?
Or is it our defences,
For all the outside world to see.
For when I'm dressed up to the nines,
No one can shake me.
