The rigour of daily routine in life,
a hard stricture to hide yourself within.
You must do this now, panic, worry, fear;
each danger looming ever closer still.
No wonder you look so tired and stressed.
Please, ponder then upon another way,
allow youthful love to be thy only bond.
Ticking clock transmutes to slave not master;
multitudes of infinite adventure.
Open eyes anew, witness life's river flow.
We are born playing within the river,
in its babbling springs full of hope and joy.
Too soon, school and work fade those memories;
no longer free the river flows straight.
Dreams traded in for opportunities.
The river flows still alongside you now,
stop, sit and listen for that gentle sound.
Reach in and smash all the bricks and mortar;
each rule a brick, every pressure the mortar.
Set your river free, see where it takes you.
By Rai Iwa (a dedicated river follower, I've even been known to just jump in whenever the mood takes me and just see where life will lead me...
So far every jump has proved to be more exciting, eye opening, life improving and worth just ignoring that fear that lives within us all.
See you on the river)
