The long summer days faded into the frail autumn breeze,
Her smiles turned to tears,
She realized her worst fears.
Utilizing the sheer horror of things that could be.
Each day, watching the pale rain-
Searching through the pain-
Her parents screamed,
Those blue eyes gleamed,
Filled with tears.
"Where would I be without him?"
She thought, smile upside down.
Those scratches on her wrist,
Led up to her cold hard fist-
That had a clutch onto his heart,
Swore they'd never part;
Then the feuds began.
One day, she had the courage.
"I'm so sorry I don't have those things that you're needing,
And darling, a kiss
Kiss me I'm leaving.
Darling, I love you. I need you.
When the end is getting closer,
And the earth has burned the sky,
Now repent 'cause it's all over.
Just let me die.
As my body lies here broken,
And I'm carried to the light,
Now my heart is finally open.
So just let me go."
The girl wasn't seen again, crying alone in the density of blankets, burrowed into pillows.
At last, peace was ceased-
She frolicked through the clouds,
Shimmered in the sun.
At that point, he knew what had won.
