Moving On

(Not sure if I'm a bit late to join the challenge, but this idea came to me suddenly so I decided I'd give it a try, this and the next ones in the challenge if possible. Sorry if I shouldn't have!)

I'm hard to peg down,
Please, I ask you not to frown,
I'm difficult to catch,
So don't get too attached,
Cause turn around and I'll be gone,
Like a lingering note from a silent song.
It's not that I don't like you,
Just because away I flew,
But this trait sets me apart,
I'm just a wanderer at heart,
Forever moving forward,
I'll always continue onward.
I've met so many people,
So far from where I begun,
Travelled everywhere,
I just ask you not to despair,
For none have tried to stop me,
So don't you even dare.
I'm here one day then gone the next,
Because to me normal life seems so complex,
And this is the only warning you're gonna get,
Trust me it's best if you forget.
So don't try and stop me,
I should always wander free,
You can't keep me here,
Have I made myself clear?
And I wouldn't recommend,
Trying to make me your friend,
Cause I'm hard to peg down,
Turn around and I'm gone,
Like the note that died away from a forever silenced song.
