I made this one year for a project in school it's really good and made from Japan! Enjoy!!
Ingredients
Balls
-1/2 lb ground pork
-1 small egg
-1 mushroom, finely chopped
-2 tbsp finely chopped negi, or leek
-1/4 cup boiled and shelled edamame, finely chopped
-2 tsp soy sauce
-1 tsp grated Ginger
Sauce
1/2 cup dashi
1 tbsp sake (alcohol)
2 tsp mirin
2 tsp cornstarch, mixed with 2 tsp water
Preparation
Dumplings
-put pork and egg in a bowl, mix well
-add mushrooms, leek/negi, and edamame in meat mixture
-season with soy sauce, grated Ginger, mix well
- make round dumplings
-deep fry until cooked through and brown
Sauce
-put dash, sake, soy sauce in pot and bring to boil
-pour cornstarch and water mixture and stir quickly
-when sauce has thickened stop heat
