Well it's Easter Sunday. Which means 2000 odd years ago, according to the Christian faith, Jesus rose again on the 3rd day. So we eat eggs. Chocolate eggs.
People ask each other what has a cadburys cream egg got to do with christs resurrection. Well I'm pretty sure chocolate didn't have a big market back then, so I can only assume that the egg is a symbol of life. You don't have to be a bible nerd to figure that out.
So Easter is about life, and giving, family, and love. I spent my Easter with my girlfriends family. Had a wonderful day. My family are on holiday, in France. Now, I always thought I had a healthy home life. But when I see the closeness with in my girlfriends home, I wonder.
While I did have a lovely Easter this year, it made me realise how the last 3 Easters I was away from my family. I ask everyone of you who celebrate this holiday to spend this day with your family. Do you not get one? Maybe you should work things out, if you are with out a close family, then I say honour their memories on this day, remember them and love them. For those who are not Christians, then I say there's no reason why you can't be with your family on this day anyway. Everyone's a winner! Happy Easter. Have a good day.
