Part 1
My name is Maryam, and I currently live in a big villa in Asia somewhere. When we first arrived on 22 August 2012, I was very nervous. But my dad said he wil buy us a dog, so that was fine. In the first month, there were lots of bugs around. Once, I was in the shower. There is a small window near the ceiling. Even if I am only eleven years old, I am taller than average. Suddenly, I saw the front of a horrible green lizard. I screamed, turned the water off, yanked a towel and ran out.
My new school is fun, now that I am a regular. When I was new, I was shy and shaky. They put me in Grade 6-A. Now I know everyone, and, I don't want to sound boastful, but I am one of the smartest kids in the SCHOOL. Woah. There is this total show-off boy in my class, and he got 92.9% in his report card. I got 92.7% and very nearly beat him. Will try harder next time.
Anyways, there is also this Chinese exam called Youth Chinese Test and I had to learn Chinese for it. I was very scared. I learned Chinese and my teacher said I have to come to school on SATURDAY for my test. That was not fair because Saturday is officially my lazy day weekend. So, on 10th Nov 2012 I came to school. Mr. Show-Off was there along with few others. The test was surprisingly easy. Mr.Show-Off came up to me and said in a particularly irritating voice (well, to me it wasn't good), "Hey, I didn't know you came."
So I said, "But I did come."
He looked at his friend and shrugged and then went back. Now I'm getting ready to sleep, goodnight, I'll update later. Zzzzzz.
