Her Last Plea

It's my day
To shine like I matter
She said
Under her shallow breath
She breathed in the intoxicating perfume
In her
Dresser drawer
Stop
Look
She said
Her lips were red
Like the lipstick in her
Dresser drawer
So many dreams
Outside her door
So much pain
In her dresser drawer
A scribbled note
With coffee stains
The blood stops flowing
Through her veins
When she sees the note
She wrote years ago
To a man she didn't know
Loved her
Goodbye my love
She wrote in ink
This is my last and final plea
To show your love
Or say goodbye to me
A ghost she sits and looks in the mirror
Am I dead?
Look
She said
Her lips were red
Like the lipstick in her
Dresser drawer
So many dreams
Outside her door
So much pain
In her dresser drawer
