Ghost

Ghosts whisper in my ear at night,
Whispering my name.
Waking up in horror,
The only sound the rain.
A presence comes upon me,
I feel the bed is moving.
Hallucinations in my mind,
My sanity needs proving.
Feeling cobwebs on my face,
Then vanish into air.
My body starts to tremble,
I close my eyes in prayer.
Horrific images fill my mind,
My whole being in fear,
A minute passes like an hour,
An hour like a year.
I want to get some sleep tonight,
I'm convinced it's just my brain.
I close my eyes and try to sleep,
Ghosts whispering my name!
