This is the 3rd stanza in the group poem started by @patdolan with @sjw doing the 2nd.
I saw it......it happened
Right in front of my eyes
But wait......it couldn't of happened
My brains telling me a lie.
......Are my eyes lying
Was it just a trick, an illusion
......My mind is denying
Wrapped in a cloak of confusion.
I was muted in fear.....no screams or shouts
Then the room fell into total darkness
I had definitely seen it......but still I had my doubts
I hoped and prayed but now it was pointless
