Rising from blades of grass,
A dense blanket of jade,
Stands a mosaic bird bath,
The place for birds to play.
Water mirrors the sapphire sky,
Reflecting fragments of clouds,
As a bird comes in to land,
With a soft, splashing sound.
Beneath the surface he submerges,
Fluttering his feathered wings,
Once satisfied, he rises again,
Hear him joyfully sing.
Attracting the attention of his friends,
More birds decide to bathe,
Each chirping merrily,
Oh, how busy the birdbath is today!
