My body aches,
Battered and bruised
From the good times we had
And what we used;
Alcohol and food
And simple fun
Playing games
With you
And our son.
I'll never forget
The times we had
Most of them good
But some of them bad
Caught in a snapshot
Of time itself
Sat in a photo frame
On the long, wooden shelf.
Time cannot heal
The wounds that run deep
Battered and scarred
Memories keep
Flashing back through my brain
I've erased all of you
The woman with no name.
