The Olympics

Chapter 2:

Finally! It was Saturday night and I was in mine and Tom’s apartment getting ready for a last night out before the Olympics.

“Maddy! Ailis is here, let’s go!” Tom shouted. I finished putting my make up on before grabbing my purse and walking out to where Tom was waiting. “You look beautiful Maddy” He said.

“You don’t look to bad yourself.” I smirked and I walked in 5 inch high heels to Ailis’s car while Tom locked up the apartment.

Ten minutes we arrived at Oceana and went up to the bar to order 3 cokes. We then went to sit by Chris, Jack, Tonia and Sarah. Soon the shots had started and everyone was a little tipsy including Andy Banks who had said at the start that he wouldn’t drink because he would end up taking some of us home. ‘Call my name by Cheryl’ started playing and we all got up to dance. By 11pm I was feeling really dizzy so I went to find Ailis to tell her I was going home. Tom said that he had to go to the toilet so I went in search of Ailis. As I neared the toilets I saw Ailis kissing....was that Chris? I shook my head and rolled my eyes, I knew Ailis had a crush on Chris. I decided I couldn’t walk back home so after texting Ailis and Tom, I phoned my mum to come and pick me up.

Mum took me back to the family home and I fell asleep straight away.

The next morning I walked downstairs and mum was making me breakfast, dad had already gone to work since it was almost 10am. “Morning sleepy head.” Mum said as she put a plate of toast in front of me. “Morning.” I said. I eat breakfast and then decided to have a shower to clear my head. I felt much better after my shower until I got a text from Tom:

‘Morning Beautiful, Need to talk to you, please come home? T xxx’

I grabbed some clothes and put them on before saying bye to mum and walking to the bus stop to catch the bus into the city centre.

Once I got off the bus, I walked five minutes before I reached our apartment. I opened the door, “I’m home!” I shouted and a very sleepy Tom appeared from the kitchen, he had his onsie on which he looked very cute in! “Morning Madz, can I talk to you?” he said as he gave me a kiss. I nodded, closed the door and followed him into the kitchen.

“Whats up Tom?” I asked him as I sat down next to him at the kitchen table.

“Maddy, there is something I need to tell you.”

“Go on......” I said sounding worried.

He explained what happened last night.

“I’m so sorry Madz, we were drunk....it didn’t mean anything! And I’ve told you because I love you, and I couldn’t lie to you.” He said.

I just sat there thinking about what he had said.

“Maddy please talk to me, I’m sorry, it was a mistake, a massive mistake.” He said trying to make it better, but is just made things worse.

I felt tears roll down my cheeks; I got up from the table and walked out of the apartment ignoring Tom.

I couldn’t believe it! Ailis wasn’t kissing Chris last night! She was kissing Tom!

I couldn’t face anyone right now so I just caught the bus back home. Mum asked what was wrong, but I couldn’t tell her. Half an hour later she came to check up on me and said that both Ailis and Tom had been on the phone saying they were sorry.

That’s when I realized I couldn’t do this anymore!
