Knocking sounds at my door and I sigh, "Who is it?" "Me," Sean's voice says "Come in," he opens the door slowly and leans against the doorframe. "I think we should take Leeann out to do something." He offers happily, "Like what?" "Like take her to the park or something, she'll get crazy if she has to stay inside all the time," I shrug, "True, ok ill get my shoes on, go get her." He smiles, "She's ready upstairs," I chuckle, "I figured. I'll be up in a minute." He goes back upstairs and I tug on my shoes, grabbing my phone and taking a glance in the mirror. I look older somehow. Like over the lat couple weeks, I've grown up some, I like it. I don't look 15 anymore, I'm starting to look like an adult. Jogging upstairs, I hear tid-bits of a conversation and stop to listen, "Do you think Tak's really left for good?" Dean asks, "I'd hope so, Leeann was miserable with her here, and Kyle belongs with Tori anyway," that's Ricky. "But Tori loves Sean now, Kyle doesn't stand a chance," "Kyle's Leeann's Dad though, so that has to count for something." "Maybe to you and me, but not Tori. She's dead set on marrying Sean one day. You and me both know that whatever she sets her mind to is what she'll do." "True... I don't know I just think Kyle's better for her," Ricky says, I imagine him shrugging like he usually does. Footsteps pad towards the door and I jog up the rest of the stairs. Leeann's waiting at the door with Sean, wearing her bright pink hoodie, butterfly jeans, and pink and white sneakers. (She can't tie her shoes yet so they're Velcro). We get in the car and Leeann bounces in her seat, "Are we going to the park?" I nod, "We sure are," "Yay! I love the park! But.." She stops and I turn around, "But what, sweetie?" "Other kids are scared of me," "You took your medicine. You should be fine, ok?" She nods but doesn't look so sure, hopefully the medicine keeps her at bay so she can finally have some fun.
