Bore into me the strength
You promised to give
So I could remain alive
To love you till I passed.
-For once you lay stark,
Without reverence or power,
Bare witness to wills gone,
The end for us as us alone.
I wonder to a darker depth riddled with guilt,
A silent beckon to be freed from the chastised want to see you,
To understand what left the foundation so shaken.
Dare you speak of something I cast out?
-I speak of all things even cast from you,
The dire speaking man who never sees,
A thought that binds this horrid generation,
You now see why we are writers, u do?
Is your imprudent misconception
A call I once knew too well,
To drag me from this Earth,
And bring me to a form of silent words?
-Silent words you speak and shout off,
They deafen none of us who listen,
A frail heart does lead a passion forth,
The heart that beats within a hollow chest.
I wish I was aware of the beating before,
That unstable tremble raking my nerves;
Do you hear it too?
Hear all that I do?
-I merely see you are a king od kings,
A child born to nothing and rising faults,
You push with that heart to form castles,
A tiresome journey now marks your face.
Will you fall as the empire we cherished as children;
Sand castles swallowed by rude passing feet,
And billows of the sea's wrath?
Will I stand in your place, to fall with much lost elegance?
-Stand there yet you stand alone,
I no longer hear your words or see your face,
You must accept what is not there,
Be kind my fellow and love again, you will.
Calm, and take a long glance around,
See what is real and untouched; I promise you:
There a life forgotten is reborn and everlasting.
Are you hopeless once more?
